A Goan food stall ‘Incrivel Goa’ opens at Dilli Haat


Panjim, November 25, 2014:Delhiites can now sample authentic Goan dishes at Incrivel Goa, a food stall which was inaugurated today at Dilli Haat (opposite INA market), Sri Aurobindo Marg, New Delhi. Incrivel which means ‘welcome’ in Portugese, is a reflection of Goa’s rich heritage. The food stall was inaugurated by Shri. Dilip Parulekar, Hon. Minister for Tourism, Govt. of Goa and Shri. Nilesh Cabral, Chairman – Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC).  Shri. Ameya Abhyankar, Directo, Department  of Tourism  - Goa   and Shri. Nikhil  Desai, Managing  Director  - Goa  Tourism Development  Corporation (GTDC)  were also present.

 
“Food is always a major consideration when people travel. Since Delhi is the converging point for many people who come to Goa, we want them to have the chance to taste Goan delicacies in their city first. Goan food is simple, full of flavor and has great variety. We are optimistic that Incrivel Goa will be a success and will inspire many people to travel to Goa as well,” said Shri. Dilip Parulekar, while inaugurating the stall.

 
Shri. Nilesh Cabral, Chairman – Goa Tourism  Development  Corporation (GTDC) said, “People from Delhi have  a great desire to  relish the delicacies  of Goa. Incrivel Goa  is an  incredible  opportunity for people in the national capital  to savour   the  best  of Goan  cuisine and  culinary .”

 
Incrivel Goa aims to serve Goan cuisine, but with a modern touch, to the Delhi audience. They have also roped in a Goan chef who will ensure that the food has a stamp of authenticity. Apart from the famous Pork Vindaloo, Goan sausages and Bebinca; this stall will also serve some lesser-known but equally delicious dishes like Rosomlette (a fluffy omelette with spicy gravy poured on it), Soyi polo (dosas/pancakes with coconut) and Arroz Doce (which resembles a rice pudding/kheer); in an attempt to give Delhiites a chance to sample the flavours of Goa.
 
The contract for managing this stall has been awarded to Epicurean Hospitality Services Pvt. Ltd. “There are not many options for Goan food in Delhi. With Incrivel Goa we hope to bridge this gap. We have both indoor and open air facilities for visitors as well. Apart from serving delicious Goan food we also hope to educate people about the nuances of Goan cuisine and the ingredients used in it,” remarked Mr. Rajat Dogra, Managing Director of Epicurean Hospitality.
