Goa Tourism bags prestigious Pitch Top 50 Brands Award 2016


Panjim, 25 July 2016:Goa Tourism is the winner and one of the Top Five Brands in the category of Globetrotters for the coveted Pitch Top 50 Brands 2016 awards.
The prestigious award was presented to Goa Tourism at a glittering ceremony held in New Delhi on July 22, 2016.
The award was received by Mr. Kapil N Painguinkar, Deputy General Manager, GTDC at the hands of Ms. Rashmi Kochar,Director Marketing, Amagi in the distinguished presence of Mr. Maheish Girri, National Secretary, BJP and Mr. Naveen Kukreja, Group CMO, Policybazaar.com, CEO and Co-founder, Paisabazaar.com.
Goa Tourism’s efforts at promoting tourism all across the globe and attracting  foreign tourists  to the tiny State has proved to be a huge success and this recognition is set to take Goa Tourism to greater heights.
The marketing and promotion of Goa Tourism, its initiatives, activities, events, facets and a lot more has contributed in increasing the number of foreign tourists to Goa over the last three to four years.
More than five lakh foreign tourists have added to the growing footfalls to Goa last year and more than one lakh have availed of electronic tourist visas through Goa airport. Global visitors to Goa opt to holiday in the State from October to May. However many now choose to enjoy Goa in the monsoons as well.
Goa is also a preferred destination for weddings and couples from abroad opt to marry and celebrate in Goa which offers exquisite and exotic ambience, packages and a lot more for dream weddings.
This year alone, Goa has bagged several recognitions and awards and the Pitch Top 50 Brands 2016 awards with Goa in the Globetrotters top five lists is a huge feather in its cap.

Pitch Top 50 Brands is an annual property of Pitch, from the e4m Group with an objective to unveil the Top 5 Brands in 10 different categories. The list is a means to acknowledge the impactful, efficient and commendable marketing practices being upheld by brands in various categories. The process aims to identify the best approaches with respect to idea and innovation, consumer connect, communication impact, execution and results.
 To make sure that the credibility of the list is unmatched, Pitch has made the entire selection process go through a 3 stage methodology which involved primary and extensive secondary research to cull out and shortlist the top 30 brands in each defined ranking category using the explicit metrics designed for each ranking category in the first stage.  This was followed by short listing.
