Goa Tourism bags “Best Designed Stall” at TTF, Kolkata

Panaji: Goa Tourism has been awarded the “Best Designed Stall” at the Travel and Tourism Fair (TTF), held at Kolkata recently. The award was received by Mr Bharat Chodnekar and Mr Francis Pereira of Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC).

The stall had the presence of more than seven travel and trade operators from Goa, and saw a peak of more than 2500 holiday explorers during the public visiting hours, in addition to visits from trade representatives. The stall designed in classic Goan architectural style attracted keen eyes from members of the travel trade and general public, eager for a taste of Goa.

A trade and media evening was also organised at a prominent Five star hotel in Kolkata, which saw the participation of more than a 135 leading tour operators and media representatives.

A cultural show profiling authentic Goan folk culture was also organised for the invitees, followed by informal interaction between GTDC officials and members of Kolkata's travel trade and media fraternity.

The 104th edition of TTF was held at the Netaji Indoor Stadium and Khudiram Anushilan Kendra in Kolkata, which saw more than 300 participants from India, Bangladesh, China, Denmark, Dubai, Finland, Macau, Nepal and Thailand. The event was inaugurated by the Head of Macau Tourism Board.

Started back in 1989 from Kolkata, TTF covers nine domestic and outbound tourism markets of India, which are Mumbai, New Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Surat and Pune supported by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India.
